BOAB Boat Hire has been working with Marine Safety Victoria to allow a greater range of use for our boats.
 
We are happy to announce that the 6m Centre Cab has been authorized for use offshore. There are still some limitations due to the commercial aspect of the boat however those who wish to can take the boat up to 5nm (approx 9km) off shore and to 20nm (approx 37km) from a safe haven. There is a condition to log on/log off with the Coast Guard prior to venturing our so hirers should check with the local floatilla for coverage.

This increase in range can allow the boat to be towed to areas such as Portland, Port Fairy, Warrnambool, Lakes entrance, Mallacotta, Marlo, Paynesville, Port Albert & Port Welshpool where Coast Guard floatillas are located.
